Jim Breitmeyer, M.D., Ph.D., is Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of Altay Therapeutics, bringing more than 35 years of biotechnology and pharmaceutical leadership experience. He has led clinical development programs that contributed to eight FDA-approved products and has held senior executive roles at Oncternal Therapeutics, Bavarian Nordic, Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Eli Lilly, Applied Molecular Evolution, and Serono. His expertise spans clinical development, regulatory strategy, translational medicine, and business leadership across oncology, rare diseases, immunology, and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Breitmeyer earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Washington University School of Medicine and completed fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
